Every day I walk into the classroom, I see more than students in desks. I see young men and women balancing two different worlds, home and school, while trying to figure out who they are. I know the pressure you feel when everyone else seems to have a plan for your life, but no one stops to ask what you want.

This book is for you. The student who is tired of people telling you who to be, the student who knows you are capable of more but hasn’t figured out how to get there yet, the student who wants to prove something, but most importantly, to prove it to yourself.

I’ve learned that before I can teach you math, science, or history, I must reach you mentally.

If I don’t connect with you as a person, the lessons I teach won’t stick. Students don’t learn from teachers they don’t like, and that’s the truth. Respect and trust come before formulas and facts.

My job is not just to teach you the curriculum; it’s to help you understand your learning style, how your mind works, and how you can use that knowledge to succeed in school and life. Because your education isn’t just about passing a test; it’s about building a life you’re proud of.

And that’s why we’re here. To talk about the grind, the growth, and the greatness that comes when you learn to dream big, chase those dreams, and refuse to quit.

This book aims to give a voice to the voiceless and those who have yet to realize the message and power of their voice.

    Proving the Impossible

All my life, most people around me had made me feel inferior, which made it easy for me to grasp. I learned to doubt myself before I ever had the confidence to believe in the greatness within me.

It took facing my fears and many tears to learn to ask myself one simple question. Who am I not to be great? In my pursuit of self-discovery, I learned how to stop letting the devil use me because I allowed others to use me for my self-destruction. I was my greatest enemy, which turned out to be a problem that I could fix.

I had to discover two important things to remove all my doubts & fears, stopping me from being the best version of myself that I could be.

I had to learn to eliminate the things and people in my life that didn’t help me evolve. The only certainty in life is change. So, if you think you can or you think that you can’t, you’re right. My pride has always kept me going in the wrong direction in life. It would take all the strength & prayers that I had to surrender to love.

I deserved happiness, which meant that I had to put in that work to make it possible.
